my Vision

While most call me a photographer, I proudly carry the title of so many other important roles. I’m a wife to my college sweetheart, mom of two boys and the sweetest rescue dog ever. My favorite way to kill time is by being outdoors, trying new recipes, and doing my dang best to just be present in the moment.  

It doesn’t matter if you’re welcoming your first child or you have multiple kiddos at your feet, you have a ton on your plate and I want to be there to help stop time and make the experience easy and memorable. Consider it date night, for the whole fam.

I know how fast time flies and how quick the stages go (even when they feel like they’ll never end)! It wasn’t until becoming a mom myself that this realization really sank in. I understand the importance of documenting all the fleeting details so you have tangible memories to look back at and cherish these moments. Even more so, I want you to celebrate being in the photos and not just being the one who takes them.

There’s something about natural light and a shining sun that just brightens my day. I’m continually inspired by the way light can dramatically change your mood and surroundings.

We welcome our second child and I transition solely to documenting families and all things motherhood after stepping away from weddings. 

2024 / 

We welcome our first child and I become a mama. 

2022 / 

I marry my best friend and launch Sonderly Photography.

We buy our first home and welcome our pup, Harper, to the family. 

2018 / 

I graduate college and start traveling with my dad on photo treks to national parks across the United States.

I take my first photography class in high school and learn how to develop my own film.

Then, I became a mom. Boy, did that change everything. Priorities sure took a big shift! Now, I’m focusing solely on family photography and celebrating the milestones throughout your journey in motherhood. 

It’s more than just pretty photos. It’s about photos that make you feel. They make you reminisce on this current stage of life. The early days of learning to be a family of three (or more!) and remembering just how small your child once was. Seeing how that tiny little hand grabbed onto your finger and changed your entire world in the blink of an eye. These are the things I want you to feel when you look back at your family 20 years from now and share these stories with your own children. 

At the end of the day, family is what is most important. They’re your source of comfort, soft landing zone, and a place to be unapologetically you. This is why I thrive in family photography. 

Growing up, my dad was always ‘the guy with the camera’ and sharing his gift with those around us. I’ve realized how valuable it is to have this priceless artifact that shares a moment in time. But what gets to me even more, are the stories that go with them and the emotions you feel.

When my dad shared his gift with me, it was first just a selfish way for me to spend tons of one-on-one time traveling with him. Exploring the world and learning his craft. But as I continued to grow and expand my own family, my perspective changed. 

First, I was drawn to the enchantment of weddings. As a fresh newlywed, I could easily resonate with other couples going through these same exciting moments as I just did.
